Wow! What a great performance the 1st and 2nd graders put on last night! The musical was fabulous and I am so proud of our kiddos for their hard work! Although the musical was the certainly the star of the show this week, we had a lot of learning going on! We did some team building activities during social studies, expanded our knowledge with strategies in math, learned about nasal sounds in shared reading, and much more! Winter Movie and Party
On the afternoon of Thursday, December 22 nd , we will be having our winter
party. We will be watching a movie, making a special gift, and enjoying treats. Listed
below are the families who signed up to bring something to share with the

Toys For Tots Collection
Prairie Schools are pleased to be collection sites for Toys for Tots again this
year. Toys are needed for boys and girls ages birth through 17. You may help by
donating a new, unwrapped toy at Crest, Heights, Hill, Ridge, View, Creek, Point,
the High School, Transportation or District Office. Thanks for making a child's
holiday a bit merrier!
Sight Words
Students will be learning the following first grade sight words next week.
Please practice reading and writing these sight words each night with your
child. Our goal is for students to be able to read the words quickly without
trying to sound them out. Students can also practice these sight words through
